Urban Decay Book Of Shadow's Vol. III NYC Palette

As I was saying in my last update, I couldn't wait to get my hands on 2 of the new Urban Decay Palette's. The Naked and NYC one's. I now have both. YAY! :D
People were telling me I was mad to get the NYC palette as I have the Alice In Wonderland one and they said the colours were the same. But there not. Theres about 3 shades that are similar/the same but the rest are different and new.

"Totally obsessed with The Big Apple? So are we (how could anyone NOT be?) Inspired by the glimmering lights and iconic landmarks of New York City, Book of Shadows Vol III features16 eyeshadows that go way beyond neutrals and brights, including SEVEN NEW shades with names like Loaded, Rockstar and Money. We've also included nine best-sellers in a range of sizzling textures: everything from glitter to shimmer to matte."

The product is packed in black packaging, with UD NYC raised on the lid with images of some of New York City's iconic hot spots. The lid opens up to more landmarks from  Central Park, to the Chrysler Building to the Status of Liberty herself and many more.
One of the main features in the palette is that when you lift the lid to the pop up features the City lights up. I think its the little features like that, that makes it.

The palette contain 16 eyeshadows 16 x 0.8g (16 x 0.03 US oz).
2,  24/7   Eyepencil Liner 2 x 0.8g (2 x 0.03 US oz).
Eyeshadow Potion Primer 3.7 ml (0.13 US fl oz).

Perversion (matte black).

Overall I really like the palette, all the shades are wearable. After all it is the NYC Book Of Shadows, and New York is one of my favourite places in the world! :D I did think it was a little pricey, but if you like and have an interest in make up as much as I do, the price doesn't matter. As always thanks for reading. Hope you like it. :)

Urban Decay Naked Palette

So at along last, I finally have the Urban Decay NAKED Palette. Ive had so much hassle trying to get both that and the Urban Decay NYC Book of Shadows Vol III.
Ive called into Debenhams many times to see was it in or when would it be in stock, but had no luck. As it was already on sale in the UK I decided to just buy it online. I would of had it pre-ordered but was kind of afraid that it was get smashed up in the post but it didn't! :D I ordered it from House Of Fraser on a Friday and it was here on the Monday. Happy days!
Now onto the good stuff! :D

"Far from a group of boring beige shadows, this long, lean, seductive case is packed with twelve gorgeous neutrals. Shades range from delicate champagnes to dark, gritty gunmetal, and feature FIVE NEW shades with names like Darkhorse, Virgin and Buck.
Our neutrals won't leave you naked. 12 multifacedted shades (including four exclusives) escalate your "basis" to rich textures of matte, shimmer, satin and sparkle. Experiment with office-appropriate, deep and smoky, or summertime bronzed looks.
Go naked, not neutral...clothing is optional."

The product is packed in a dark chocolate velvet, with "NAKED" and "Urban Decay" embossed into it with gold lettering. I have to say I really like how the palette looks. I think it looks luxurious and sleek. The Palette contains 12 x 0.05 oz. eyeshadows, plus 2 x 0.02 oz. liners and a miniature-sized Primer Potion of 0.13 fl. oz. With the eyeshadows weighing 0.05 oz that means that you're getting 12 FULL SIZE eyeshadows, so palette works out alot cheaper than buying 12 individual eyeshadows. Cool or what?! :D

Virgin (satin chamois),
Sin (champagne)  (This shade is permanently available).
Naked (matte buff nude)  (This shade is permanently available).
Sidecar (cocoa with golden sparkle sheen),
Buck (matte nutmeg),
Half Baked (subtle, lustrous bronze)  (This shade is permanently available).
Smog (deep coppery bronze)  (This shade is permanently available).
Darkhorse (bronze patina),
Toasted (rich copper)  (This shade is permanently available).
Hustle (plum brown satin),
Creep (onyx with gold sparkle),
Gunmetal (gunmetal gray with silver glitter)  (This shade is permanently available).

24/7 Liner with Zero (black on one end) (This shade is permanently available), and Whiskey (creamy rich brown) on the other.
Miniature-sized Primer Potion (This item is permanently available).
Overall I can't fault the palette at all, I love it. Love all the shades and tones. All are wearable from day to night, and it was a really good price.

UK £27.00
IRL €32.44 (from the UK conversion rate) It could be a lil bit more in stores.

MAC Holiday 2010 Collection

So there been some buzz online about MAC's Fall/Holiday 2010 Collection "A Tartan Tale" which is due out in the States in October. Not quiet sure when it's exactly out here, as when I read stuff online then inquire about in Brown Thomas, the staff haven't a clue what im on about. Either they can't tell me or they are actually clueless about there job. But Id say maybe late October, early November.

From the promo pictures online they seem to be a mix of reds, blues and greens. With maybe an punky scottish look. Some of the MAC senior artists on Twitter have been posting TwitPic's of tattoo designs. Saying it has to do with a new collection out soon so maybe it's this one :) So that's all the information available and that I have for now about this collection, when I find out more i'll keep ye posted :)

Hope ye like the pic's .Not to sure if I like the packaging yet or not, but I will definatley be making some purchases. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Harley!

So Sunday September 5th, was Harley's, (my dog)  first birthday! :) He's a terrior cross and he's brown and beige. Even though he's crazy as hell and is a little nutter, I love him to bits and wouldn't change him for the world. Why he's so special to me, is that my Dad adopted him for me from a foster home. He was the only one left from his litter and was also taken away from his mother a few hours after he was born. So because of that he had to be literally treated like a baby, he had to have special dog milk formula stuff and had to have feeds every few hours. Even during the night. But it was all worth is because he has a fun personality and is very affectionate.

Happy Birthday Harley! :D xxx
Love always Your Mama xxx
